As of Jan. 28/11 Brandon Gray was no longer a CIRA certified Registrar.
What does this mean for .Ca domain owners that used Brandon Gray's services?
You will need to find a new Registrar to Transfer your .Ca domain name to.
Arvic has been a CIRA certified Registrar since CIRA began the management of the
.Ca system in November 2000. We have been in business since 1983, and we would
provide a very stable choice for you and your domain needs.
What is a Transfer and what are the processes?
A Registrar Transfer transfers the domain name from one Registrar to another. That Transfer process will also add 1 Year of Renewal to your domain name. Therefore, once you have completed your Transfer, your domain name will be held with an active Registrar and you will have successfully renewed your domain name.
For example: Your domain name's current Expiry date is April 14/2011.
Once your Transfer is completed your new Expiry date will be April 14/2012.
In order to Transfer your .Ca domain name, you will need to contact CIRA to retrieve the Domain Authorization Password and to Unlock your domain name.
Also please request CIRA to have any Privacy settings removed if applicable.
Once you have your Authorization Password, come to the Domains tab on www.cadomains.ca and go to the Transfer Domain to Cadomains link.
We will guide you through the process and then your domain name(s) will be instantly Transferred and ready for you to manage and maintain.
